Think locally act globally

I am working with students on a project about the human interference on the hidrological cicle and our focus is to study the river that cross our city.This riverbed as some very poluted areas but also others areas that are been recovered and preserved by the neighborhood. Our idea is to research the the reasons why some people are throwing their trash on the riverbed while others don´t, I mean if it´s a behaviour issue or if it´s public administration problem and to work with environmental awareness in these areas. The main focus would be to involve another country students to see if the same thing happens there and how they deal with it. I believe this will help to raise global awareness and bring new point of view on the solution of this problem.
